D'Asia Green
D’Asia Green has served as the Director of Marketing since 2019, having served as the Marketing and Strategic Plan Liaison beginning in 2018. Skilled in branding, as well as design and social media and content management, her role has been to rebrand and maintain the brand of Williamsburg County Economic Development Board.
D'Asia is responsible for all of the organization’s branding, media, social media, content creation and promotion. She is also responsible for maintaining the I AM Williamsburg brand—the county-pride initiative launched in 2021—which she takes great pride in. What makes her job most enjoyable is being able to serve the citizens of Williamsburg County with the freedom to use her creativity.
A Kingstree native, D’Asia graduated from Kingstree Senior High School 2011. She went on to attend the University of South Carolina’s (Columbia, S.C.) illustrious School of Journalism and Mass Communications, where she majored in Public Relations and minored in Political Science. D’Asia graduated in 2015, with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications. While in college, she served as a University 101 Peer Leader and member of the Association of Black Journalists and Public Relations Student Society of America.
D’Asia has completed the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) Economic Development Marketing & Attraction course, and she is currently enrolled in the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association’s 2023 South Carolina Economic Development Institute.
D’Asia also volunteers with the Miss Williamsburg County Scholarship Organization, a preliminary competition to the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization competition, where she manages Public Relations and Community Outreach. She has served in this role since 2016.
During her spare time, D'Asia enjoys doing all things creative, Bible journaling, spending time with her family and friends and watching all of the CSIs.
